The new Silver Valley Cycling 1-oz. 999 fine silver Medallion features world class bicycling trails on the obverse, which include the Route of the Hiawatha and the 72-mile Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. The reverse depicts historical themes such as the Old Mission at Cataldo, The UP Railroad Depot in Wallace, The Silver Mountain Ski Resort in Kellogg and Silver Mining in the area. The Rails to Trails medallion was designed by Rick Colgan of Medallion Consultants, Inc. and struck by Sunshine Minting, Inc. of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Also included is a story card with the history of the designs on the medallion. Each medallion is encased in an air-tite holder to prevent tarnishing.
